Although date stamps are no longer present in most modern digital cameras and smartphones, if you have older photos that were taken in film or using some of the first few digital cameras then odds are they’ll have that signature red stamp in a corner. Rather than leave it there, you can actually opt to remove it completely and without a single trace left behind.
To do this you’ll need to be able to edit your photo, which may sound a bit daunting if you’ve never done so in the past but with the Movavi Photo Editor it’s actually quite easy. Just use the software to:
- Add the photo by clicking ‘Browse for Images’ and selecting it.
- Open up the ‘Object Removal’ menu and select the ‘Brush’ tool.
- Paint over the date stamp with the ‘Brush’ tool.
- Click ‘Start Erasing’ to remove the date stamp.
- Save your photo by clicking ‘Export’ and selecting a format.
Assuming you have any trouble selecting the date stamp with the ‘Brush’ then you could try the ‘Magic Wand’ instead. Also if you find that there are imperfections left over you can use the ‘Stamp’ tool to smooth them over.
By the time you’re done your photo should look as though the date stamp was never even there in the first place. It may be a good idea to also look into some of the other features of the Movavi Photo Editor to enhance the quality of the photo, crop or rotate it, remove unwanted objects, change the background, insert customizable text, and much more on top of that too.
Suffice to say, with the Movavi Photo Editor at your beck and call you should be able to edit your photos as and how you see fit. Using it as a photo stamp remover is really just the tip of the iceberg, and you’ll see that it is just as easy to put it to work and edit your photos in a myriad of other ways too so that they look great.
